CANCELLATION AND RETURN POLICY

In GeeCom India platform the Buyer places the order to the Seller. Seller receives the order and can choose any of the two options – (i) starts the process to deliver the product, or (ii) decline the order by his/her own choice to not to go ahead for transaction. The Buyer or Seller can cancel the order until before the initiation of the delivery process. Once the delivery has been initiated, the buyer or seller cannot cancel the respective order. In case the buyer refuses to take the delivery of the order or the seller refuses to deliver the order, the said buyer or seller shall be liable to pay all the damages and compensation arises due to such refusal to the other party, Delivery Person/Partner, GeeCom and any other third party involved.


Upon order cancellation, our ‘Online Platforms’ will charge cancellation fees as following:

For small size orders of value up to rupees 5000/-, cancellation charge would be up to 20% of the net order amount, up to a maximum of rupees 1,000/-  

For medium size orders of value up to rupees 25000/-, cancellation charge would be up to 20% of the net order amount, up to a maximum of rupees 5,000/-  

For large orders of value above rupees 25000/-, cancellation charge would be up to 10% of the net order amount, up to a maximum of 200000/- 

Note: Higher cancellation charge will incur in case of perishable items. Perishable items are defined as any vegetable, any fruit or any product which has shorter shelf life. Platform reserve the right and has discretion to reduce or waive off cancellation charge on case to case basis depending on the circumstances in which cancellation occurred and losses incurred due to the order cancellation.

Upon order cancellation, the cancellation fees will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to the User’s account in our ‘Online Platforms’. The same can be withdrawal anytime, or can be used for further shopping/transactions.


In case of cash transaction or COD option where seller takes the responsibility to deliver
 - Buyer cannot cancel the order if the order has been released/confirmed by Buyer and Seller has initiated the delivery. If the buyer does cancel the order then buyer shall pay both way delivery charges to the Seller. Such charges may accumulate in Buyer’s account and they will be deducted during future transactions.

In case of cash transaction or COD option where GeeCom or Third Party takes the responsibility to deliver

 - If buyer receives the products which are damaged, rotten, not fit for human consumption then buyer can reject the full/part order and Seller shall pay the both way delivery charges to the GeeCom or Third Party. Such charges may accumulate in Seller’s account and they will be deducted during future transactions.


GeeCom provides a transparent platform and expects Buyers and Sellers to make well informed decisions. GeeCom expects that each buyer has made well informed decision before the purchase/order of product/service.

It’s Buyer’s responsibility to notify Seller or GeeCom if he/she intends to return the products/service received/ordered. It’s Buyer’s responsibility to explain the reasons, provide the evidence for reason of return. GeeCom as intermediary will try to support and resolve such issue, however, does not take guarantee that Returns will be approved, successful or feasible due to nature of product or service. 

In case of perishable items, Buyer is responsible to notify the issue (if any) immediately if he/she intends to return the product. Max limit in case of perishable item is 1 hour.

In case of non-perishable items, Buyer is responsible to notify the issue (if any) immediately if he/she intends to return the product/service. Max limit in case of perishable item is 4 hours.

In case the Seller chooses GeeCom or Third Party delivery option and does not get delivered the products within agreed time frame, or delivery less quantity or sub-standard quality of products, in such cases if Buyer rejects the part or full shipment, Seller shall bear the cost of return of products. 

In case the Seller chooses GeeCom or Third Party delivery option, Seller must ensure the proper packaging of the product to avoid any damage or loss. Seller must document proper weight, measurement and packaging of the product via video and photographs. 

Buyer once receives the product must record and document the unpacking of the product via video and photographs. Proper documentation via video and photographs are important to process return, refund, or claim any kind of loss/damages or quality issues. Proper Justified Video of opening of the product is mandatory to make any claim towards delivery of sub-standard products. Without producing the Proper Justified Video, Buyer cannot claim the delivery of sub-standard product (Quality and Quantity).   

In case of payments made through Digital medium and to safeguard the interests of Seller and Buyer, payment shall be made by Buyer into GeeCom’s account as soon buyer confirm the order. Once buyer receives the product, GeeCom shall transfer the payment into Seller’s account. In case, the Buyer rejects the product, the amount shall be returned to Buyer and the Seller will be responsible to take the product back from the delivery address.  If Seller wants the product back by the GeeCom or third party, seller shall pay the cost of return shipment/delivery.
 
In case of return, the buyer should return the product same as that received from the seller. Any changes in the product like quality, quantity, etc. is strictly not allowed and will be treated as fraudulent activity.

Refund will be initiated to the User’s account in our ‘Online Platforms’. The same can be withdrawal anytime, or can be used for further shopping/transactions.

GeeCom will not be responsible if the return is not feasible/successful due the reasons beyond GeeCom’s control, for example – natural calamity, socio-economic disruption, seller or delivery person/partner not reachable, poor network, etc.
